From Caraway Speedway (Sophia, NC Saturday March 5th 2016)
It is a sunny beautiful day here at Caraway today for testing of the 51st season opener for Caraway and short track racing. Empire Racing is having a rather smooth day of practice for the new-comers to the track Thad Moffitt and Dylan Martin. Moffitt has completed his first-ever limited LMS practice with a p4 and having gained a little more knowledge with other cars on the track. Moffitt comes with a long lineage of racers, The Petty Family, to draw from to support him becoming a talented young race car driver.
“There is something that just comes natural with Thad’s racing ability. I can not wait to see this young man grow and mature in this sport”, said crew chief Mike “Grumpy” Cheek of ERG.
Martin completed his first-ever LMS practice today at Caraway ending first practice with a p2. Martin, a proven winner, won The “Blackwater Integration Triple Crown” Championship in 2010, an also 5 other wins at his Local track Points run in his first season of racing pro trucks!
