Other new entries for the open test include two from Empire Racing with series veteran Sean Corr and rookie Thad Moffitt. Moffitt is the grandson of “The King” Richard Petty.

With several more drivers expected, here’s another look at the latest and official ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards entry list for the open test at Daytona. Sunday, January 14 is being reserved as a rain date, in the event either Friday or Saturday’s activities are affected by weather.

Only composite body cars will be permitted at this year’s open test. In fact for the first time in series history, the entire ARCA field at Daytona will be made up exclusively of the newer composite material, flange-fit bodies. The composite bodies debuted in the Series on short tracks in 2015 and were approved on tracks over a mile for the 2016 season, excluding Daytona and Talladega.

The ARCA Racing Series kicks off “Speedweeks” 2018 at Daytona with the 55th running of the Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire Saturday, Feb. 10, Live on FS1. The annual ARCA show-opener also marks the start of ARCA’s 66th consecutive season of competition.
